This course explores the world of Chemistry--the study of the composition of substances and the changes they undergo. Students find ways chemists touch their lives in areas such as medicine, transportation, clothing, cosmetics, art, and industry. The second semester will cover Chemical Reactions, Stoichiometry, States of Matter, Gases, Solutions, Thermochemistry, Acids, Bases, Reactions, Hydrocarbons, and Nuclear Chemistry.
