Mathematical Models with Applications is a course that will build on
your previous math courses, including Algebra 1. Emphasis will be placed
on the mathematical relationships that you encounter in the real world.
You will learn how to solve problems, communicate mathematically,
create and interpret mathematical representations and models, and use
technology efficiently and appropriately to solve problems.
We all learn mathematics best by doing mathematics within a
meaningful context. You will be asked to solve problems in realistic
situations. This course will help you to develop independence and take
responsibility for your own mathematical models that you will use to
solve meaningful problems. Appropriate technology will be used
throughout the course to allow you to interpret real-life data verbally,
numerically, symbolically, and graphically.
